Ken Pepowski leads EDC Engineering as Principal Consultant, specializing in the Structural Engineering and Project Management on industrial, commercial, agricultural and municipal projects. Ken brings over 27 years of Structural and Civil Engineering and Project Management experience including 10 years as a Partner of Pearl Engineering and 10 years as a Senior Civil Engineer in the Corporate Engineering Department at Consolidated Papers, Inc. (now New Page Corporation) where Mr. Pepowski worked on all phases of Pulp and Paper facilities, as well as projects on the Consolidated Water Power Company’s Hydro-electric Dams and Power Houses.

For 6 years prior to this position, Mr. Pepowski was a Project Structural Engineer for Howard, Needles, Tammen, and Bergendoff (HNTB) Engineers and a Structural Engineer for the U.S. Air Force Reserve and the Naval Sea System Command.

Mr. Pepowski is a graduate of Marquette University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s of Science Degree in Structural Engineering and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin.

Pepowski explains, “We created our firm because we saw innovations in the classic engineering company model that would give our clients an advantage.”

Alison Young leads EDC Design as a Principal Consultant and Engineering Design expert with over 13 years of combined manufacturing and consulting experience in the Architectural Millwork, Casework, Structural and Mechanical Design industries. Alison’s exceptional talent was honed through top previous employers such as Spectrum Industries in Chippewa Falls, WI., O’Keefe Inc. in River Falls, WI, R.W. Bruner Co. in Menomonie, WI, Techline USA in Waunakee, WI, KLR Engineers in Plover, WI and Pearl Engineering Corporation, Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

She also has experience in drafting standardization for clients and worked as an Adjunct Instructor in the Mechanical Design Program at Mid-State Technical College. Her expertise spans throughout the medical, educational, residential, paper mill and food industries. Alison’s versatile design vision provides our clients with creative thinking design solutions. She is fluent with AutoCAD® and has experience with Microvellum® as well.

Mrs. Young is a graduate of Mid-State Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design Technology.

Marlo Carlson is a Senior Project Consultant with EDC Management Corporation, where he performs Mechanical Engineering and Project Management on projects in the industrial and Commercial Areas. These include projects for industrial manufacturing companies in the Midwest such as pulp, chemical, and food processing.

Marlo has over 47 years of progressive reasonability in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering and Management, Construction, and Project / Construction Management and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin.

Eric Christensen joined EDC in 2016 after working over 19 years in the paper manufacturing industry. Eric’s responsibilities ranged from detailed engineering to scope and budget building to project management. He managed projects dealing with small process changes to major equipment modifications and upgrades. Eric worked with Operators, Production Managers, Maintenance Crafts and Contractors on a daily basis. Eric brings to EDC the skills to work with any and all parties to successfully execute a project.

Mr. Christensen is a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Rob Luecht joined EDC in 2017 as a talented designer with over 16 years of industry experience. His background includes structural steel detailing and design, quality assurance, and inspection in the aerospace and medical machining industry, agricultural design and fabrication, as well as project management and customer service. With project involvement that ranges from complete warehouse distribution systems to small precision machined parts, Rob has a broad range of skills and experience that will bring value to our clients by helping them visualize their projects and understand end results early in the process. An expert in AutoCAD, Rob is also proficient in Autodesk Revit and Inventor.

Mr. Luecht is a graduate of Mid-State Technical College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Design Technology.

Stephen has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University and a Master of Science in Engineering (Emphasis Structural/Geotechnical Engineering) from the University of Wisconsin—Platteville. He has seven years’ experience providing logistical support to the Department of Navy, which include two years’ experience as a project manager. Stephen is a member of the following professional societies: the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and the American Concrete Institute (ACI).

Mohammed Khadir joined EDC as a project mechanical engineer in June 2020. Mohammed brings over 10 years of experience from multiple industries including A/E, power plant, & gas utilities. Mohammed has worked on commercial, residential, & institutional HVAC projects, designed clean air solutions for coal power plants systems, and developed gas infrastructure projects. In addition, Mohammed has managed commercial & residential projects as a construction project manager & MEP superintendent.

Mr. Khadir is a graduate of University of Illinois at Chicago with Bachelor of Science & Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering.

Retired Captain December Rose Dickerson is a Project Manager for EDC Management Corp. Ms. Dickerson’s total years of military service and project management experience combined is 19 Years 11 Months of Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve.

Ms. Dickerson began her career as a general engineer military officer at the Engineer Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri in 2012. During training and henceforth, she has served in the operational and functional role of platoon leader, plans officer, executive officer, company commander, and brigade construction management officer.

In her past enlisted history, Ms. Dickerson has operated in Iraq as a 21E/12N construction engineer specialist during Overseas Campaigns Operation Iraqi Freedom from February 2003 to May 2004, assigned to Charlie Co. A&O, 724 Engineer Battalion out of Wisconsin, and Operation Enduring Freedom from October 2009 to August 2010, assigned to 317th Engineer Company, supporting 16th Engineer Brigade mission out of Ohio. Each battalions’ mission in Iraq involved humanitarian peacekeeping stability operations during wartime. Joint Taskforce Missions ranged from area, security and route clearance to clear main supply routes and Iraqi homelands of threats and hazards such as improvised explosive devices and unexploded ordinances; key leadership engagement, building and improving basecamps, and establish rapport with the local national people.

Her formal education consists of a Graduate Degree in Military Geological Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from University of Wisconsin Superior, three Associates of Science from Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa Community College, Defense Acquisition University (DAU) background in project management and credentials toward a General Engineering Degree through the US Army extension program. She is familiar with numerous languages impartial to her Anishinabe background such as English, German, Spanish, and Korean.

Her project management experience was key as the acting Business Development Manager and Project Manager for the Ho-Chunk Nation Dept. of Business, Business Development Division during their casino expansion and revitalization Project Forward.
She is an affiliated member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, US Army Corps of Engineers, Committee on Native American Ministries (CONAM), Magna Cum Laude National Scholars Honor Society, American Legion-Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 25, Odanah United Methodist Church-WI Conference, and United Services Automobile Association.
